GivEat is a community sponsorship platform launched in 2026 as a new startup with one simple idea: no student in this city should struggle while someone nearby is willing to help.
We connect people who want to help with students who need a free meal — through local Toronto partners. Meals are first; coffee, books and more are next.
Free for students. Always.
Rent is up. Groceries are up. For thousands of post-secondary students in this city, eating properly every day is a real financial decision — not a given.
GivEat is completely free for students. No subscriptions, no hidden fees, no strings attached. You verify your student status once, and from that point on, you can claim one sponsored meal per day (up to three per week) at a participating restaurant near you.
Someone in your city already paid for it. You just have to show up.

We’re a small team based in Toronto, Ontario. We built GivEat because we believe communities should take care of their own — and technology should make that easier, not harder.
